Not a strong moment

Theo Push from sneakysquirrel on Vimeo.

I didnt realise how much work I took on with this one.... I havent done much to Alfred at the back, so he's kinda stiff....
And I hope to fix up a few things with little Theo too.....
But I wont mention what I think is wrong... i'll leave that up to you guys.... :-)
(yes, David used a smiley face, get over it, already!)

This looks great man. I love the variety of poses. The only thing (and I'm being very picky once again) I think is that the 3rd and 4th push, he seems like he's not trying anymore, but then again, that could have been your intention.

Nope, unfortunatley that wasnt my intention, lol!

i dunno, i kinda struggled with this one... i recorded myself pushing, and I didn't look convinsing either,,, sheesh, better hit the gym hey!

how do you think it could look like more energy is being transfered? I made him go up, slightly. I suppose the legs could somehow show nore tension....

No too sure, I was thinking maybe the head and arms could have like a shake to it, give the feeling he really wants to move the block. I think poses are cool, just while he's in them make it look like it's a real struggle. When he stops have him breath slightly heavy as well. I actually think it's a really good animation, I'm just constantly trying to see what could be improved upon.

I hear you. The breath is a good idea. I kinda left the shaking because I realised I was trying to sell the whole energy-struggle with shakes, so I tried without.... Perhaps its because it starts shaking and the last few dont have. I think there are some serious timing issues here too, especially with the transfers from one foot to another. I did kinda feel the last push needed to be a bit longer, but i knew I'd have to put a gap in the audio, as the ole man starts speaking there, and I was lazy.

ual..yeah you wanna really do it. I can see your effort and creativity looking for those moments and conections between story and your animation, veru+y nice, this is pure animation, more than tecnhic stuff, is life creative moments.
by the way the thecnhical stuff you are mastering nicely as well. sweetie smooth moments tere.
maybe the last push should have less y trans, betting on his weight more than his legs pump.

dude, the "hy this is david beer animation reel....its acting..proud of you. definately i wanna the same drug you are taking.
